Lacamas Shores HOA Resources
Lacamas Shores has many amenities available for residents, including a private boat launch and a Canoe Club. We also have a common area with picnic facilities, etc. that can be reserved for your private party. Please read the simple rules below to avoid misunderstandings. HAVE FUN!
Boat Launch
Those residents who own a boat and wish to use the LS boat launch and park their vehicle in the boat launch area, are required to obtain a free LS boat trailer sticker. The purpose of these stickers is to ensure that only residents park by the boat launch. There are seven parking spaces and they are reserved for residents only. All guests, whether they have their own boats, or are visiting in cars, are not allowed to park by the boat launch.

Residents are welcome to bring a guest and their boat, however you must accompany your guest in their boat on the water if you wish to use the LS boat launch. Also, after guests have launched their boat, they must drive back up the hill to Lacamas Drive and park their vehicle and trailer on the street.

On summer days when many residents want to use the boat launch and park their vehicles in the area, trailers that do not have a LS boat trailer sticker will be booted and the owner will be fined. Also, please do not park your cars in this area during busy season as space is severely limited. You are welcome to drop off anyone that cannot walk down the boat access road, then return to Lacamas Drive to park your vehicle. Please contact Rob Bernardi to obtain a boat trailer sticker.

Canoe & Recreation Club
The Lacamas Shores Canoe and Recreation Club memberships run from May to April of each year. The memberships main benefits are the unlimited year around use of the clubs boats, which include 4 aluminum canoes and two four person paddleboats. The boats are stored in the boathouse located by the picnic area and basketball court in the common area adjacent to the boat launch. Paddles, life jackets and carts to move the boats are also available in the boathouse.

Lacamas Lake is truly wonderful to live near and even more enjoyable to experience by boat. The northwestern end of the lake connects with a secluded section of Lacamas Creek and the southeastern end of the lake has several islands and shallows to explore. Try your hand at fishing for bass, catfish or the trout that get stocked in the lake every year.

Boats are checked out on a first come basis by signing a logbook kept in the boathouse. Club rules include signing a waiver of liability regarding use of the boats and requiring that guests and members under 18 years of age be accompanied by an adult. Members are issued a key for a new lock on the boathouse every year.

The Canoe and Recreation Club holds its annual meeting in April. Memberships are limited to Lacamas Shores residents. For more information, contact John Ulmer.

Lacamas Shores Common Area
Lacamas Shores common area is located by the lake on either side of the boat launch. This is the area we use for our annual Independence Day celebration. There are picnic facilities available including tables and barbecuing areas. These facilities are available to all residents at no charge. If you are planing an event, contact Catherine Arnold to reserve the space. Restroom keys are available from Cindi Marrinan.

The Picnic/Common Area Rules are below. You must print out the download form, sign it and return it to any board member at the time you make the reservation.

Lacamas Shores Picnic/Common Area Rules
The area may be reserved by any LS homeowner in good standing, and that person must be present during the function. The area cannot be reserved by anyone that is not a LS homeowner.

The area must be cleaned up the day of the function and returned to its original condition. This includes removing trash from the small trashcans (bathroom included) and transferring it to the large dumpster located next to the maintenance shed.

Parking in the common area is reserved for LS residents only. Only LS permit boats/trailers can be parked in the designated boat parking spaces. Guests may launch their boats from the LS launch but then must park on Lacamas Drive.

All guests are required to park outside the main gate on Lacamas Drive.

Any illegal activity will not be acceptable. This includes underage drinking. If an illegal activity is identified, the police will be contacted and you will be subject to the laws of the city of Camas. You will also be asked to leave the premises immediately. As a result, your common area privileges may be suspended indefinitely.

Noise levels must adhere to Camas city law.

Any broken or missing LS property will be the sole responsibility of the party making the reservation. Said party will be obligated to correct/replace the property within two weeks of the function. Failure to correct/replace any property by the two week mark will result in LS taking on that function and charging all costs to the homeowner. Those costs will include, labor for repair and sourcing as part of the costing structure. Failure to pay those charges will result in a lien being placed on the homeowner’s property.

The Lacamas Shores BackFence is a neighborhood email list or listserv that allows homeowner's to contact neighbors about anything that is non-emergency. The following link will connect you to the sign up form. Just follow the directions. BackFence Signup.

Simple Rules & Listserv Etiquette:
1.
No Advertising is permitted. You may recommend services and businesses you have used such as those we post in the Neighborhood Business and Service Recommendations

2. Always attach a signature to your message so people know how to reach you.

3. Don't challenge or attack others. The discussions on the lists are meant to stimulate conversation not to create contention. Let others have their say, just as you may.

4. Do not copy email addresses from any list for commercial purposes.

5. Message should be appropriate to the topic.

6. Avoid sending large files to mailing lists. Use Uniform Resource Locators (URLs) or links.

7. Do not spam the list with inappropriate commercial or political messages. If in doubt, check with the list administrator before posting

8. Use caution when discussing products. Information posted on the lists is available for all to see, and comments are subject to libel, slander, and antitrust laws.

9. State concisely and clearly the topic of your comments in the subject line. This allows members to respond more appropriately to your posting and makes it easier for members to search the archives by subject.

10. Do not send administrative messages, such as 'remove me from the list', through the Listserv. Instead, use the Web interface to change your settings or to remove yourself from a list. If you are changing email addresses, you do not need to remove yourself from the list and rejoin under your new e-mail address. Simply change your settings.
